Mid-Atlantic States Career and Education Center Opens New Location
Officials with Mid-Atlantic States Career and Education Center celebrated the opening of a new location in Woodbury.
An official ribbon cutting ceremony was held on Wednesday where State Senate President Stephen Sweeney and New Jersey State Senator John Burzichelli were in attendance as well as community leaders from Salem and Gloucester counties.
The Career and Education Center purchased a new building located at 55 Delaware Avenue in Woodbury. The facility will be used as a job readiness site to help residents re-enter the workforce.
“I think the people in Gloucester County are going to benefit. Those who are low income or those who are unemployed who really want to do something with their lives for their families,” said Glen Donelson, president and CEO of Mid-Atlantic States Career and Education Center.
The new location gives the center a larger space, that was 800-square feet building to now 5,800-square feet. The center will now offer several certification programs that meet job requirements in the region, including forklift training and Microsoft Office software training.
