The Congregate Nutrition Program, funded through the Salem County Office on Aging, provides fellowship and meals to Seniors three days a week at the Senior Center in Pittsgrove Township.
Through the Respite Program, funded by New Jersey State Department of Health and Human Services, family members who are also caregivers to loved ones can coordinate assistance when needing time off. This time can be a day for self-care or a week for vacation. The Respite Program allows these very valuable caregivers peace of mind that their loved ones are being cared for so they can enjoy some downtime.
In a county as rural as Salem, finding Transportation to medical appointments or general shopping trips can be difficult.
